Ribbon...

We see Ribbon all the time on used on layouts and you see it all the time at the store.
I get asked all the time, "What is the best way to attach ribbon on a layout?"

If you were wanting to put the ribbon on your page as a strip you could attach it by using:

  • An Xyron Machine - This is the slickest way to getter done!
  • Terrifically Tacky Tape
  • Glue Dots or Lines
  • To finish the look off and add a little more embellished look once on the page - you could staple the ends to the page, put a brad through or maybe put a button on the ends!

Ribbon, can be used many different ways on your pages.
  • You can loop it through eyelets or just put a whole with the eyelet setter.
  • You could take about a 1" Strip fold in two and use as a tab and attach with a staple or brad.
  • You can take a little peice of ribbon, knot it and attach with a glue dot to your page.

Anybody, else have any suggestions for ribbon?

Use your sewing machine! This is a cool look - set the machine for a zig zag the width of your ribbon or use a long straight stitch. For a whimsical look, move the ribbon as you sew, letting it curve and bend a bit!

It looks really neat to use pieces of ribbon as photo corners. Or make a frame around a picture or embellishment with ribbon.
